DevDays 2009

I’ve been at the DevDays in the Netherlands this year and it’s been great to see a lot of the new stuff which is coming. I focussed on sessions about Visual Studio Team System 2010 and Silverlight as I find both area very interesting.

The 27th of May I went to the pre-conference day on Team System 2010. I enjoyed the sessions of Marcel de Vries and Adam Barr, which gave me a good overview of what the new and interesting features are that VSTS 2010 has to offer. I will try to post more on the features of 2010 (a lot of people are already posting on the new features, a lot who know more about it than me 😉 so I wont do that to much) and especially the experiences I have with those new features (I’m currently creating Virtual Machines with VSTS 2010 installed).

The 28th and 29th I went to sessions about Silverlight and VSTS2010 and also a session about Azure. Unfortunately I don’t see yet how Azure fits in the picture, so I need to do a lot more investigating on this topic.

It were a few very interesting days again, just as last year. Unfortunately there were not as many commercial stands giving away gadgets, so the kids didn’t get that much this year, so let’s hope that there will be more again next year ;-).

See ya,

Koen
